Blocking Zombie PCs
The Sophos WS1000 Web Security Appliance has a unique feature! It is capable to detect and block infected Zombie PCs within your internal network, preventing the spreading of infections and/or start of spam campaigns from within your organisation. It alerts you, so then you can secure the infection and avoid further escalation.
Sophos Network Access Control (NAC)
Sophos NAC is the missing link of your current security measures. Sophos NAC will check the presence and status of the Microsoft update service and multiple brand applications like virus scanners and firewalls.
When detecting vulnerability, the policy can be set to block access to your network, or only provide internet access for updates, or limited access to your internal update facility. After the machine becomes compliant to your security policy, access can be granted to the network.
An advanced version, Sophos NAC Advanced, will also check for hundreds of patches, versions and settings of hardware and software solutions used in business environments. Advanced configurations and reports will offer added value if needed.
