VMWARE PURCHASING PROGRAM

The VMware Purchasing Program is designed to reward customers when purchasing VMware products in volume.

VPP OVERVIEW

VPP is a purchasing program that provides customers with a special banded discount when placing orders.

VPP – HOW TO QUALIFY

VMware has established a VPP point value for each product a customer orders. VPP point totals determine a customer’s eligibility and discount level. VIP Resellers can work with you to determine the point total for any VMware purchase you wish to make. For a qualifying transaction VMware will pass through to our partners membership discounts on your behalf. Consult with your VMware VIP Reseller to determine your VPP Membership price on any future purchases you wish to make.

VPP – MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES

There are four different discount bands: A, B, C and D. “A” represents the entry-level discount, with “D” representing the highest level of discount offered in the VPP program. See the table below for qualifying point totals.

A member band dictates the additional discount VMware will pass through to our partners on your behalf. VMware passes through to our partners an incremental discount that is “band specific”. The discount is on software licenses only and ranges from 5% to 20%.

Consult with our VIP resellers to determine your program price on your next VMware purchase.

VPP – MEMBERSHIP NUMBER

All members are issued a membership number. Membership numbers should be used when placing VMware product orders to ensure accurate VPP membership quotes and pricing.

Example: Customer Number	MM/YY	Discount Band
XXXXXXX	0507	C

This VPP Membership number indicates the expiration date of your membership and the discount band you qualify for. For example, this customer’s special discount ends in May of 2007. The members discount band is “C”.

• Subsequent orders can qualify for the same special discount
• Memberships are for one year
• All VMware Authorised VIP Resellers can offer you this special discount
• Additional discounts passed through to our partners on your behalf range from 5% to 20% depending on your band.
• Discounts are passed through to our partners.
• Consult with your preferred VMware VIP reseller for your special membership discount.
