What do you do as a Solution Sales Specialist?
I Joined Insight Belgium as Solution Sales Specialist – Connected Workforce beginning of March 2020. As an S3 I work closely with Sales and Delivery Team, building projects around M365 solution Suite. Activities cover pre-sales in identify and scoping opportunities with Account Managers, work on offers and Statement of Work, present these and negotiating these with the customers and plan the implementation with Delivery Teams. In this we build strong relationships with our customers to develop further services solutions and identify upsell activities. On Marketing side, as S3 we also present Webinars and live seminars on Connected Workforce subjects.
How did you end up at Insight? What drew you here?
After reorganization of my previous employer, I looked for a new challenge and was attracted by the evolution of Insight in IT and its solutions range especially the last 10 years. I saw in the Solution Sales Specialist function an interesting hybrid function between Sales and (technical) pre-Sales. For it was an opportunity to bring a 20-year experience in Sales especially in ICT, Telecom and UC&C and a challenge by learning and gain more experience in technical field related to IT.
How has your journey at Insight evolved?
Right from the beginning, my experience at Insight was very positive and in the same time already very complete by immediately being involved in a lot of projects for customers. The exceptional COVID context meant that after just 2 weeks I had to follow up my onboarding remotely. At Insight we are all very well trained and equipped to keep a high level of productivity and being able to keeping delivering our solutions and services remotely. I learned a lot on the job with great coaching from my S2 CWF colleague.
What is the best part of your job?
Bringing my Sales experience and adding a Technical part to it. Being the link between Sales team and Delivery Team and in the same time having close and frequent contact with Corporate Account customers.
What does success in your job at Insight look like to you?
Success in my job is first of all personally for my to able to close the technical gap that I had as previous purely Sales function. On a more business side, success is then to build up interesting projects and propose the best fit solutions and services to our customer with a high level of satisfaction. Here in Belgium, it is important for Insight to make their proofs in the Service selling, and not been seen only as a Microsoft licensing expert.
