Insight installs Surface Hub for the Flemish government
Insight and HBPlus install Microsoft Surface Hub in the Flemish government's brand new Herman Teirlinck building
The brand new Herman Teirlinck building of the Flemish Government at the Tour & Taxis site in Brussels will be equipped with a new Microsoft Surface Hub. Trusted IT-advisor Insight won the contract and signed a three-year framework agreement with HBPlus, the ICT provider of the Flemish government. These interactive screens enable 2.0 officials to come together in a more efficient and interactive way.
The 1st of September has had a scent of back to school for many officials as they took their quarters in the brand new office building of the Flemish government on the site of Tour & Taxis in Brussels. Eventually, some 2,600 people will utlise 1,800 flexdesks in the Herman Teirlinck building. To emphasize this flexibility and efficiency, the Flemish government has also ordered Microsoft Surface Hubs. These innovative Microsoft products have been specifically designed for boardrooms and brainstorming sessions. In short, a 'Modern Workplace' for the official 2.0.
Insight won the public tender for the supply of the Microsoft Surface Hub
With the Microsoft Surface Hub, the Flemish government is at the forefront of organisational and technical innovation in the Herman Teirlinck building. The Surface Hub solution for meeting rooms is highly prized by large companies because of the added value it offers, in the way workers get together. It combines HD video with a digital whiteboard and apps like Skype for Business.
The building will be mainly equipped with 55 Inch screens. Insight even did an onsite study to ensure that the device could fit anywhere as needed. Surface Hubs are mounted on an electrically adjustable mobile support. The user can easily adjust to the desired height, a significant asset for people with disabilities.
Total solution: Complete service from installation to optimisation and support
The contract with Insight includes a complete service: from network installation and implementation / integration to support and tailored training. For integration, Insight collaborates with a specialized partner, Communicativ. This allows the company in question to access all the necessary applications as such as Office 365 or OneNote and to benefit from better conditions. Appropriate training will also be organised at different levels (administrator, test-user and key-user) so that the adoption of new technologies by users is optimal. HBPlus provides Managed Services for Surface Hubs to the Flemish Government.
The Flemish Government has chosen experience and expertise
As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Insight was the first supplier of the Surface Hub in the Benelux. The trusted IT-advisor has already completed several installations; this experience and know-how is very useful in practice. The collaboration with the specialist Unified Communication Communicativ allows a complete integration that is adapted to each company. But the real key to winning this contract is perhaps the framing of the business process. The Flemish Government was offered a complete and thorough demonstration of all possibilities.
The Microsoft Surface Hub is already operational in the Flemish Administrative Center and user training is in progress. The three-year framework agreement eventually provides for the possible addition of additional devices. A guarantee and an adapted assistance are also foreseen during the duration of the contract.
