About EcoVadis and the methodology
EcoVadis offers a comprehensive sustainability rating and intelligence suite designed to help companies assess value chain risk and compliance and measure performance for net zero emissions and sustainability goals that create value and impact.
The EcoVadis methodology measures the quality of a company's sustainability management system through three management pillars: Policy, Actions and Results, which are further broken down into seven management indicators. This approach is adapted for each company based on activity, size and location, using 21 sustainability criteria based on international sustainable development standards to select the most relevant criteria for each company's specific challenges and geographical location.
The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards (Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000), and is overseen by a scientific committee of experts on sustainability and supply chains to ensure reliable sustainability assessments.
