Universal Print is a Microsoft 365 print service that removes the need for on-premises print servers, and enables Windows devices to print to Azure-registered printers. It’s available since March 1, 2021.
You can benefit from driverless printing, streamlined location-based printer discovery, and an intuitive printing experience with no learning curve. Devices that are joined to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) can use existing Azure AD credentials to print securely. Administrators manage printing by using the Azure portal, and can easily connect printers with native support for Universal Print. Universal Print can be deployed with non-compatible printers by using Universal Print connector software.
Universal Print will be available as an add-on to Windows E3, A3, E5, and A5, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium, F3, E3, A3, E5, and A5.
