Insight now offers a new level of flexibility for clients who have specific Microsoft workloads they can’t move over to the cloud. You can now consolidate your Microsoft on-premises and cloud purchasing requirements through Insight’s CSP programme. Perpetual software licences are licences for on-premises Microsoft products such as Office Pro Plus or SQL Server, that you can acquire in perpetuity. The software offering is license-only (L-only) and does not include the option to add Software Assurance (SA).

Furthermore, MS just announced that Academic and Government software licenses will be available from July, 2021 onwards in the CSP Programme. This is to compensate the loss of this possibility in the OLP Programme. You can continue to renew and purchase new software licenses, Software Assurance, and online services through the Open License programme until December 31, 2021.
