In May, VMware announced General Availability (GA) of NSX-T 3.0, VMware’s full-stack networking and security virtualization platform for cloud networking. The exciting new version comes with innovations in cloud, security, containers, and operations. The good news is that NSX-T 3.0 is now also available for non-VMware environments.
Insight has planned a free webinar to show how NSX-T 3.0 brings a major change in software-defined networking for all Service Providers. The webinar brings you up to date with the latest VMware technology, creates a better understanding of NSX-T 3.0, accelerates your business and achieves your business results and those of your end customers.
In only one hour you will get fully up to date with VMware NSX-T 3.0.
So, if you want mobility in your workloads, want to be able to move workloads between datacenters or out to the cloud in an automated, easy-to-deploy way. make sure you don’t miss the opportunity and register now.
Software-defined networking (SDN) is the foundation for digital transformation for Service Providers today. SDN brings with it three things that traditional network environments often lack: flexibility, agility and scale. Three crucial features to support the increasing demand for cloud services and achieve business success fast.
Although most Service Providers are nowadays familiar with SDN, not every company really gets the most out of it. How do you find out if you can do more with SDN than you do now? Take a look at the following questions. How flexible is your current environment? How agile is it and how much can you scale? If your answer to any of these questions is 'hardly' or 'not very much', there is work to be done to overcome these constraints.
The recent release of VMware NSX-T 3.0 solves many, if not all, of the constraints regarding scale, flexibility or agility that exist in your current networking model. And whether you are already a VMware customer or a Linux house, you can dramatically drive the potential of your software-defined networks with NSX-T platform. And that’s great news.
Historically, NSX was a part of VMware’s hypervisor product set and laid the foundation for VMware’s vision to develop a complete data virtualization platform. They then decided to disconnect NSX from the hypervisor to further improve the concept of software-defined networking. In recent years, NSX has developed further to where we are today: the release of VMware NSX-T 3.0.
One of the major new advantages is that NSX-T 3.0 can now also be used by non-VMware environments, including Linux. This is a tremendous opportunity for many more Service Providers to build and deploy private or hybrid cloud-native application environments programmatically. Also, VMware and Linux environments can now be deployed side-by-side across several platforms from one single pane of glass.
In a nutshell, NSX-T 3.0 provides networking, security, automation, and operational simplicity for emerging application frameworks and architectures that meet the need to manage more heterogeneous and distributed environments and technology stacks. NSX-T 3.0 supports cloud-native applications, bare metal workloads, multi-hypervisor environments, public clouds, and multiple clouds and “helps enterprises achieve one-click public cloud experience wherever their workloads are deployed’, as VMware says.
To accommodate different business models, NSX-T 3.0 has a flexible licensing model. The four different tiers of NSX-T 3.0 – Standard, Professional, Advanced and Data Center – bring more flexibility to your deployment options than was previously available. The model that applies to your business model depends on the typical workloads you have. You can have multiple versions for different tenants: one fits the Professional edition, while another may need the Advanced edition. You are not tied to one edition, because you can mix and match them according to your business model.
NSX-T 3.0 offers a number of benefits for all Service Providers to improve SDN processes and take a major step forward in the digital transformation journey. In addition to the fact that the easy-to-implement NSX-T 3.0 can now also be used in non-VMware environments, there are four main reasons why NSX-T 3.0 is such an attractive option for Service Providers.
