Becoming a Direct Billing Partner

The Insight Cloud Program replaces many direct partner benefits from previous regulations, enabling you to expand your cloud business and deliver added value with reduced infrastructure and operational burdens.

Service Providers are encouraged to offer at least one managed service, custom IP service, or customer solution application, and have a customer billing and provisioning platform. Meeting these criteria qualifies you as a Microsoft direct bill partner; otherwise, you become an indirect reseller and must partner with a qualified Microsoft indirect provider. An exception is granted to authorised partners under the Qualified Multitenant Hoster (QMTH) program who offer one managed service, allowing them to remain direct bill partners without meeting the new requirements.
